Future Glimpses: Mandir Nirman Karya

For the temple construction we are using Khavda stone which has excellent compressive strength and hardness, which results in its long life. It has been used in many architectural marvels in India since 11th century.  – It is a stone that ages very well due to its cellular structure, which holds the intermittent microscopic air gaps and acts as an insulation panel too. – We are using the Khavda yellow stone for the construction of all temples.  – There are a few reasons to use the khavda stone; 1. To avoid the use of concrete (particularly reinforced steel), which can deteriorate much faster in the climatic conditions caused by the nearby sea. 2. To construct a temple, which needs minimum maintenance once built. 3. It is locally available in ample quantity.   The stonework has already started at one of the workshops of the Khavda, Kacch Gujrat
